The Australian Capital Territory is home to Australia's capital city - Canberra. Attractions Canberra has to offer include several galleries and museums, a zoo and aquarium, the Australian Mint, government buildings such as Parliament House and the High Court, and the Australian National Botanic Gardens.
Aside from the city itself, the area is largely dominated by cattle farms and vineyards, making for a scenic drive for those passing through. The state is also home to the Namadgi National Park, which offers some spectacular scenery, and great hiking, biking or riding opportunities around the mountains and forests of the park. Several smaller townships also dot the landscape, including Williamsdale, Uriarra, Tharwa and Hall.
