The Northern Territory embodies everything you would imagine Australia to be. As well as being comprised predominantly of rich red outback and rainforest, the Northern Territory is also home of Ayers Rock, one of the most visited attractions in Australia. If this is not spectacular enough, the nearby Kings Canyon and the Olgas will also please snap-happy photographers.
Driving upthrough the centre of Australia, travellers can literally spend days in the outback, leaving one lonely outpost in the morning only to reach another by dusk. The good news is that every roadhouse around here has a proper Australian pub, frequented by true blue Aussie farmers, serving up ice-cold VB and greasy chips for tea. In the far north of the state, visitors can get lost for days in the Kakadu, Katherine and Litchfield National Parks - but be careful you don’t get eaten by a crocodile down in the billabongs! Then round off your trip to the NT with all the attractions Darwin has to offer in the laid-back, sub-tropical city. To find out more about all of the different attractions in the Northern Territory, either choose the area you are interested in from the menu on the left, go to our full list of attractions found in the state, look in the right menu for the most popular attractions, or scroll down to see the latest attractions added to the site for the Northern Territory.
